Include a weeding with a Roundup spray in plant bed preparation, one week before planting.
Apply Roundup XL Tough & Deep Root Weedkiller at or just after flowering, usually in June. Because nettles are host plants for a number of butterfly species it’s a good idea to leave a few unsprayed clumps in out of the way places to help butterfly conservation.
